Course Overview

This comprehensive virtual course is designed for healthcare professionals interested in post-mortem imaging. It provides essential knowledge on coronial law, UK death investigation practices, and the setup and reporting of post-mortem imaging services. Participants will explore the importance of post-mortem CT imaging, learn a systems-based approach to image review, and understand the value of standardised template reporting to avoid errors in interpretation. While the course does not certify independent reporting, it offers a strong foundational understanding and a practical introduction to this topic, ideal for those considering further engagement. This course is worth 18 CPD credits in accordance with the CPD scheme of the Royal College of Radiologists.

Learning Objectives

Through online quizzes, and lectures delivered by experts, participants will deepen their understanding of the theory and evidence behind post-mortem radiology.

By the end of this course, participants will:

Cases

This section provides access to real-life post-mortem cases.

To make the most of the case bank, we recommend first reviewing the unannotated case and recording your own observations and conclusions.

Once you’ve done this, compare your notes with the annotated version.

For ease of reference, open each case in a new window so the learning material remains readily available for revision.
